How Many Are Diagnosed Epileptic With No EEG Indication?18 Mar 2004 01:00 GMT14
I'm curious if none?/some?/many?/most?/all? of those
diagnosed with epilepsy show abnormalities on a
short/long/24-hour/multi-day EEG... Some here have
noted that EEG irregularities do not show up for them,
Opinions On How Seizures Are Classified15 Mar 2004 05:28 GMT9
I read on one site that epilepsy is defined as having any kind of
seizure disorder.  Do you all agree about this?  I just want your
opinions, not what doctors would say.  Usually, if I tell someone I have
seizures, they automatically classify me as epileptic.  How do you all

caffeine and aspertame effect on seizures10 Mar 2004 19:09 GMT9
I've read several articles claiming that caffeine and consumption of
aspertame in products such as diet coke can lower a person's seizure
threshold.  Has anyone consumed these products and noticed any change in
their seizure frequency as a consequence?
epilepsy bought on by childbirth10 Mar 2004 12:58 GMT3
Hi there, I am new to this newsgroup so please go easy on me. I wonder if
there is anyone out there who has had the same experience that I had.  At 33
I had never had a seizure or any indication that there may be anything
wrong. Within 24 hours of giving birth to my 2nd child I had ...
yesterday's CP10 Mar 2004 09:34 GMT17
I just wanted to describe the complex partial seizure I had yesterday which
I found very frightening. Zoning out at home or at least, when someone is
with you, is bad enough, but walking around alone in the city, unconscious,
is terrifying.

Have any of you had experience in treatment of Essential Tremmors.  I had epilepsy when I was really young and my research has shown that as you get older Essential tremmors may result.  Basically it is shakey hands (much less than with parkinsons but still just as anoying) and ...

my name is Jayme.  It's been a while since I last posted to this group.
The last time I posted was when I was questioning everyone about epilepsy
surgery.  I did have the intracranial eeg, but I have 2 focus points and it
was too dangerous to remove them.  Since then, I also tried ...

job hunting07 Mar 2004 14:28 GMT5
My wife is 54 yo and has been dealing with her seizure disorder since she
was a teenager.  She has had a few misc. jobs through the years but she
always left them for one reason or another.  Most of the time she did not
have to work because I made enough for both of us and our ...
AEDs and the menstrual cycle07 Mar 2004 05:23 GMT4
Hi there, I'm wondering if any of the women on the group have had problems
with their cycles that were linked to the AEDs. When I was on topamax, my
cycles got much shorter, as short as 19 days. Now that I'm on tegretol, they
are going the opposite way: I have gone for as long as 10 ...
Now if you REALLY want an offensive page...06 Mar 2004 22:43 GMT11
Most pages which other people moan about, I find relatively inoffensive
or they can be brushed aside as sheer ignorance. The page below is not
in such a class:

Do you feel your crisis?05 Mar 2004 21:19 GMT6
Currently, I take 1500 Mg of Keppra and 100 Mg of Epitomax twice per
day. This treatment decreases my crises but does not go completely: I
make still sometimes some crises. My principal problems is that I do
not feel absolutely my crises: neither front, nor afterwards! I do not
