Gotten awfully quiet around here lately09 Feb 2004 07:23 GMT7
Anyone noticed how quiet it's been around here recently?
Does anybody have any plausible theories as to why this might be??
Farewell Support Group07 Feb 2004 08:57 GMT3
Farewell my fellows.  I apologise for having been such a troll.
I wish you well in your continuing mutual support as well
as in your support of newcomers.  Darryl and Patsy have been
an inspiration and I send you my special warm regards.
People who whinge about terminology.06 Feb 2004 19:19 GMT4
Just wondering how you all feel about people constantly complaining about
the terms used within this group...eg..tonic clonic, grand mal, temporal
lobe epilepsy, ejaculation, etc.
These are the terms that we who go to the doctor, neurologist, who LISTEN to
Trileptal rash06 Feb 2004 19:05 GMT10
I raised my dosage of Trileptal yesterday, as instructed, and now I have a
rash.  I am pretty sure it is a side effect of the Trileptal.  I left a
message with my doctor, but who knows when he will get back to me.  Does
anyone know if this side effect will go away as my body gets ...
Stopping the meds06 Feb 2004 17:01 GMT63
This year I will have gone ten years without any major seizure (ie. TC
or CPS). Deja vu and weird feelings don't count as everyone has those
from time to time.
As I've been so long without problems I'd like to give up the meds
Functional Mechanics of alt.support.epilepsy06 Feb 2004 02:16 GMT26
There are times when I wish to address a subject here without being
put in a position of having to reply to a prior entry.  Does anyone know
the means of accomplishing such an endeavor?  Thanks.
Need Advice!!!05 Feb 2004 21:46 GMT3
On December 10th my little boy fell at school and landed on his head - he
didn't pass out.
On December 15th he appeared to fall asleep on my husband's chest after
complaining of not feeling well and his stomach bothering him.  My husband
Can an employer request medical records?05 Feb 2004 19:14 GMT3
My 24 year old son started having seizures about 15 months ago.
Medication to this point has not stopped them, however they are
infrequent. He has had five mild seizures at work over the last 15
months. Two within a few days about a week ago. I will state right
5 year old child - second confirmed seizure05 Feb 2004 17:39 GMT3
Almost 3 months ago I posted on the list about my 5 year olds 5 minute
seizure at school. He had pushed back on his chair, hit the ground and
was out, eyes rolled back, hands and arms clinched as he lay there for
almost 5 minutes.
Can stress/worry cause a seizure?04 Feb 2004 10:13 GMT4
I've had 2 seizures recently and have been worrying about work and others
things? Can too much worry cause a seizure to happen?
Chris.
Doctor Worship and Labeling Obsession04 Feb 2004 07:41 GMT66
These are two themes that I consistently experience here that I don't
comprehend.
I'm always hearing people referring one another to their physicians.  If a
physician does not have seizures,  then I cannot imagine him/her as being any
So exactly how much more stupid will I get?03 Feb 2004 22:27 GMT8
I ran errands today, and forgot where I was going. Fine. But then I forgot
how to get back home. Only lasted a minute or two, but it was horrifying.
Work has stunk. My work is words, and I get paid by production, and need to
be able to just churn things out without thinking about it ...
Is epilepsy hereditary?03 Feb 2004 20:28 GMT11
It turns out that there are people on both sides of my family that have
epilepsy.  They are distant relatives who I have never met, but my Mom knows
of them and knows they have epilepsy.  So I was just wondering if it was an
inheritable trait.  I haven't read anything that says it ...
I can't find my yucky post...02 Feb 2004 15:55 GMT6
I just posted something snotty, and I can't find it now. I'm sick of winter
and shouldn't have chewed on someone because of it. I'm sorry.
