I've got a question (and don't we all?)18 Jan 2004 13:46 GMT5
Prima facie, this may look like a stupid question, but  it has been
gnawing at me for over a year now.
I assure you it is quite serious and based on a particular
scientific/medical procedure. There may even be a few among you who

New book17 Jan 2004 03:53 GMT7
I am a lifetime sufferer from epilepsy, and have several seizures each
day despite having been on almost all types of medication. Recently, I
have had a book published describing how I have managed to overcome
this disability. It is called 'Weathering the Storms - Living with
weird side effects with Lamactil14 Jan 2004 11:27 GMT3
since I started taking Lamactil I've been having some psychological
effects.  Anyone else having any psychological effects from this drug?
Thanks.
EXpelled!13 Jan 2004 18:57 GMT6
Yes. I thought about that. EX could mean expulsado (expelled). But I find it
quite amazing that a written word could trigger an epileptic seizure. Of
course, words connect us to the emotions they represent, and if epilepsy is
triggered by emotional recall, then it makes sense to me ...
Went to neurologist13 Jan 2004 07:46 GMT9
I saw the neurologist on Thursday and he said from what I told him and what
my psychiatrists told him that it sounded like complex partial seizures.  He
ordered an EEG and I had it Friday with special instructions to look for
temporal lobe seizures.  The tech who did it did a much ...
seizure on the subway13 Jan 2004 03:37 GMT24
Have you ever been on the NYC subway when there was a delay due to a "sick
passenger"?
Well, I was on the #7 train today.
I was correcting my ESL (English as a Stupid Language) class papers, a verb
I've got a question II11 Jan 2004 04:23 GMT3
Okay. Now this is going to be awkward for me, and tedious for any
reader. I know that. And I really think my "problem" is so unusual
that it may be pointless for anyone to read at all.
Bottom line: If you read it, thank you. If you don't, God knows, I
Epilepsy, bank & paypal accounts.10 Jan 2004 03:07 GMT7
I am epileptic. I can't drive, work, smoke, drink, and as most, have to take

Tongue biting09 Jan 2004 21:17 GMT7
My teeth sometimes close together so fast that I can't control the bite -
it's like a tic. My tongue is often caught between them and it hurts!
Is this common?

Epilepsy query05 Jan 2004 20:18 GMT4

confused05 Jan 2004 19:11 GMT20
The neurologist I was referred to is on vacation and I cannot see him until
January 8th.  I'm feeling confused about my possible diagnosis.  My psych
doc raised my Abilify dosage to 45 mg and I had an episode (possible
seizure) but it was not as intense as it has been in the past.  ...
Well I did it. I had my first big one. I don't like it. I don't want another one.05 Jan 2004 18:53 GMT11
I don't want to be part of this group. I want my brain back under my
control again.
Three days ago I came to awareness with my three boys crying and
hysterical. There was an ambulance on the way. I had bit through my
tegretol tolerance?05 Jan 2004 00:50 GMT2
Hi everyone, I have a question for those of you experienced with
Tegretol/carbamazepine:
Does it create a tolerance and require increased dosages over time, the way
certain other drugs do?
