living the seizures.14 Oct 2003 22:40 GMT5
I have just subscribed to this group and was reading about "living the
seizures". My seven yr old daughter has multiple seizures daily. Medications
have not helped her in any way, except give her horrific side effects. The
worst type of seizure she goes through is when her body ...
Tegretol availability12 Oct 2003 22:45 GMT3
Has anyone else had 'difficulty' obtaining tegretol xr 200's or 400's?
Our pharmacy never had enough 200's to fill the monthly script.  The
pharmacist said it was the manufacturer's fault.  He said there was no such
problem with the 400's.

I am a wife, a mother, a college graduate, a good friend, an asset to my
community, and I have had a seizure disorder for most of my fifty years. I
NEVER hesitate to tell someone I have epilepsy or that I am an epileptic. I
don't give a crap what anyone else thinks about it, it's my ...

Has any one out there had experience with a child having a VNS implant?
Living in a small country, they don't have the implant available here, so we
don't have much to go on? Any information would be appreciated. Thankyou.
Kerrie.

sleep deprived EEG07 Oct 2003 02:42 GMT7
I had a pretty nasty seizure in work last Tuesday (I work as a violinist in
a professional symphony orchestra) and was taken into hospital where I
stayed for a few days as the seizure was followed by another 4 in as many
hours.
Tegratol to carbatrol05 Oct 2003 01:59 GMT2
My mother has had seizures her whole life. Her neurologists just took her
off tegratol and switched to carbatrol. I was just wondering if anyone else
knows anything about this medication and its success rate compared to
tegratol.

Re: CPS + noct /DAVE, please!02 Oct 2003 19:03 GMT1
Hi Dave,  bit lengthy what's coming, here is the two posts I found in May 2000
in alt.support.epilepsy, but the authors are no longer there, so I could talk
to them. There was another post in yet another group: same trouble, and no
longer posting. And I from personal conversations ...
another day in the life02 Oct 2003 18:17 GMT2
Howdy people,
Looks like I missed yet another "I AM NOT AN EPILEPTIC, I AM A PERSON
WITH EPILEPSY" debate.  Gee, what a shame.  <g>
Anyway, my life blows even more than usual but I received a slap in the
