Epilepsy surgery post op question07 Aug 2003 05:08 GMT2
My 58 year old mom just had epilepsy surgery last week (after 30 years of
uncontrolled epilepsy and lots of recent testing.) They removed a tumor she
had in her brain and the epileptic parts (?). The surgeon was satisfied with
the outcome of the surgery.  I would like to hear from ...

Electrolysis (hair removal)04 Aug 2003 05:19 GMT3
My wife is considering having some facial hair removed by electrolysis but
because of her epilepsy,
the beautician will only do this if her doctor supplies a written go-ahead.
All her doctor will say is that he is not an expert so cannot give guidance.
One Year!!02 Aug 2003 04:05 GMT3
Exactly one year ago I was in the hospital having brain surgeries, on
Aug. 1st I'll be seizure free for one year.  Doesn't seem possible, I
think I've knocked on wood everyday that I've let myself say, "I didn't
have a seizure since my surgery."  I'm afraid I'll jinx it I guess.
