3/4 of diabetic youth deficient in Vit D31 Dec 2008 23:55 GMT19
Maybe it's not the source that's a problem, maybe it's the HPA axis
dysregulation caused by hyperinsulinemic diets and habits?

Not lurking this time31 Dec 2008 16:26 GMT28
I've been working very hard to get my mojo back and recently, it's slipped
into my psyche and I'm doing all the "right" things. Who knows why we think
we can beat the system? (I.e., the need to stick with certain eating
habits, medication, exercise, blah blah blah.) I'm back, ...

Sugar and sushi31 Dec 2008 03:11 GMT16
Tonight I took Angela for her weekly Jamba Juice and parked in front of a
sushi place.  I noticed a man and woman carrying many large bags, the size
of bed pillows.  I assumed they were bags of rice, but I noticed that the
bags said C and H sugar on them.  Yikes!  I am assuming ...

Relief in Rhode Island
Chris Librizzi knows what a severe low blood glucose looks like. He’s
seen it on calls he’s made as a firefighter and emergency medical
technician, and he’s seen it at home, in his 10-year-old son Zachary.

Naked Sugar Grill30 Dec 2008 21:01 GMT19
Well, I ain't being too carefull with Midnight Grill since my bgs are
about 1500 anyway. I'm gonna use full-flavored bang-up BBQ sauce tonight
instead of that sterile crap I usually use. Live it up till the 1st...
then it's back to flax flavored trees and bushes.
Heavy cream30 Dec 2008 06:08 GMT39
This is probably a dumb question, but....is heavy cream ever called anything
else?  All I find at my grocery store is whipping cream.  Are they the same?
Thanks!
BG Levels too Low?30 Dec 2008 04:20 GMT5
Hey all,
Today I tested rather low, at 60. I had a pancake with lots of syrup,
a cuppa joe with sugar. Almost immediately after I ate, I took my
Metformin, 500 mg X2. Could it be the Metformin?
VERY OT--political note(please ignore if you think it's too OT)30 Dec 2008 04:17 GMT611
I don't have much confidence in EITHER candidate.......No matter who
wins, we are going to be in deep trouble........
However, one thing that I saw early in the campaigning bothers me more
than anything else.......

One Touch Meters....The different models...?30 Dec 2008 02:36 GMT26
Can someone tell me the difference between the OneTouch "Ultra"....and the
OneTouch "Ultra 2"?
My Dr. is ready to hand me one or the other...but didn't know the difference
between the 2.
Odd BG numbers with metformin and Byetta29 Dec 2008 22:05 GMT25
I have been on Byetta for 3 months now.  The Metformin alone, 2x1000mg,
wasn't cutting it anymore.  The Byetta does work but I am having very
frustrating results.  If I take my metformin in the morning and the Byetta
and wait the usual 30 minutes and have a light low carb ...
