focused on Cushing/Addison research, like the associations that focus
on heart disease, diabetes, MS etc?

Bad reaction to insulin?  Hypo?26 May 2008 18:46 GMT153
What a trip I have just been on!  And not a good one at that.
First let me back up to yesterday because I'm not sure if it's related or
not.  I had to do two injections because there wasn't enough in my first
pen.  And I forgot to take the new pen out of the refrigerator when I ...
no way!26 May 2008 15:54 GMT14
I just sat here reading posts and unconscientiously ate a quart of my grand
daughters real (sugar-filled) ice cream. I was out of CarbSmart and was only
going to have 2 or 3 bites. I didn't even see me doing it. Somebody spank me
(preferably, one of the girls).
For newbie, how often to test BG?26 May 2008 11:55 GMT7
I'm new to the list.  Working on trying to control glucose.
A1C was 7.1 last november, reading a month ago was  down to 6.7.
Trying to go down further.  I have a chart comparing a1c and bg, just
wandered how often I should check -- for a short period -- to get a sample.

Wheeee! My weekend starts now (yours probably ends now). Don't get to sleep
all day, tomorrow, though - got a doctors appointment. Gonna do that
sound-sonar whatever thing again (I guess he's looking for submarines).
AND - I'm gonna tell him, once and for all, get me off these ...

Pycnogenol for Nocturnal Leg Cramps25 May 2008 16:34 GMT6
I've had diabetes for 15 years (type 1). I used to have severe
nocturnal leg cramps in both legs due to diabetic microangiopathy. My
endocrinologist recommended pycnogenol (30 mg) before bedtime. I've
been taking it for 14 months and I haven't had a cramp since, starting
Questions about Novolog25 May 2008 15:33 GMT70
Okay, so...  This is what I've been prescribed now.  I am to cut back on the
Lantus to 46 units and shoot in 6 units of Novolog per meal, assuming my BG
is in range.  Range being 90-130.  If it is above that, I am to use an
additional unit for every point.  Oh great!  Math was ...

I work in an office without a kitchen (but does have a small fridge).
What are 10 foods I could bring to eat during the day?  Things I don't
have to cook (either at work or the night before) and things that I
