Normal blood sugar could kill you. An A1C of 7 may be better. A new study was halted because 3 in 1000 were dying. They forced their A1C's to the 5 area and more died. They suggest maybe 7 is a better goal for those higher.

Ok I tried this snack before bed last night... results were Had dinner at around 7:15, took 1500mg metformin at 8:00pm ,tested at 10:00 was 6.5. at 10:25 i had a peice of toast with peanut butter (damn i hate that stuff) on it, and at 10:40ish headed off to bed.
