grading on a curve14 Dec 2007 19:28 GMT4
So at the endo's yesterday, they downloaded my bg readings and ran them
through their software and came up with a pie chart showing I am in goal
range 47% of the time the past couple weeks.
Not very good, because I have lost control a lot just using half boluses
Late afternoon highs14 Dec 2007 19:25 GMT11
I am fine in the mornings, have no DP as far as I can measure and seem
to run OK on my various breakfasts (with good numbers) till lunch.  I
have home-made soup (veg) and one or 1/2 a slice of multigrain bread,
plus fruit if still hungry, and seem to be OK on 1 and 2 hours after

99!14 Dec 2007 15:35 GMT3
Finally got BG down to 99.  Not sure how exactly.  I ate pretty much all
carbs for dinner.  Fixed tamales for husband and daughter and they seemed
like too many carbs.  Instead I had 1/2 cup of canned kidney beans and a few
(very few) small  Fritos.  Tested at 197 at two hours ...

What's a good way to poison stray dogs trespassing on my property? Is it
hamburg mixed with rat poison or something better?
Diet soda14 Dec 2007 10:47 GMT21
How do you put the fizz back into flat soda? For instance in a half
consumed 2 liter bottle of flat diet coke. I don't drink that much and
it's always flat. Even a small 16oz bottle I'll only drink half or less.

help!14 Dec 2007 03:49 GMT13
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought this was a good place to go for
some general question.
Went to the doctor in October, blood test came back with low blood
sugar reading.  The doctor said it was probably a lab error.
Bad insulin from pharmacy?14 Dec 2007 02:51 GMT36
Has anyone ever bought insulin from the pharmacy that was bad?
I have a new box of novolog pens just opened.  They were taken
straight home from the pharmacy and popped in the fridge.  Started the
first pen of the box after lunch (the same meal I had for dinner the

So, I'm still very confused by DP. I mean, I get it, I just keep getting
surprised by it.
This morning I had to do my labs. My first labs since DX. My appointment
with my doc is on Thursday so I wanted to get them done today so he had

a far less expensive, cost of living wise, rural part of N.C.  Would
Monday Night Fake Steak13 Dec 2007 18:10 GMT16
A month, or so, ago, the butcher at Winn Dixie tried to talked me into
buying one of those little pre-packaged "fillet of beef" things. I told him
I'd tried them before and they were crap. He told me they had a new brand (a
tad more expensive) that, actually, were tenderloin. He ...

to have hypo unawareness? you still feel the hypo but only after
having it a wee bit of time.  the range can be from 60 down to 30.
