Diabetes and Second Hand Smoking12 Sep 2007 05:53 GMT82
ok, sister is going to have 4-5 bypass surgery Monday.  She won't stop
smoking.  I stopped in October after about 30 years of it.  I still "want
to" at times, but I know so much damage has been done, and with the diabetes
I have and asthma, it would kill me.  My sister has T2 also, ...

I've never cared for water much unless very thirsty and the water very
cold, but wanted to trade off my diet soda consumption for something a

Anybody try this?12 Sep 2007 01:45 GMT40
Last week I had pizza for the first time in over a year.  I usually
stick with much lower carb food and avoid white flour completely.
Well, I just had to have some but I ate about 4 slices.  2 hours later
my glucometer read 170.  That is extremely high for me.  My A1c is 5.8%

more.
Still trying to diet. Not doing too awfully bad.

Obesity TV started on TLC with documentaries like the "Half Ton Man"
which spawned other documentaries about others who were extremely obese.
In all these stories, there are dutiful family members feeding their
obese relatives who are bed bound and cannot move. I keep wondering ...
