I recently was diagnosed type II diabetes.  Started taking Metformin,  doing
pretty well.
Also have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, very high triglycerides, am
a little overweight.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of connection between Effexor XR and
higher blood sugar levels?  My bg control has decreased (hence increased

Jeez, this morning (my morning - about noon to you) I was awakened by chest
pains. It's happened before, over the years, so I didn't panic. I got up,
drank half a diet Pepsi, belched a few time and they went away. But, I've
been sore, just below the sternum, all day.

any withdrawn symptoms from stopping statins?  I stopped taking them on
Sunday & all this week I have felt lousy:-(  The aches & bad pains are
subsiding but I just feel rotten.  Legs are like jelly & drippy nose.  One

can someone explain to me the differences? for example, i've eaten ice
cream, pre-diabetes, and immediately have to take a nap, and could
sleep for days. on the other hand, if i've been working in the yard,
my sugar will start to drop into the 70's, and i get really jittery

Just spoke with my endo and she said all my bloodwork is consistent
with T2. No elevated antibodies of any kind. I didn't get any specific
numbers from her...we'll go into more depth when I see her in a couple
months, but it looks like I can add T2 after my name.
