I am going to post this on three Diabetic pages, not because l want different views, but hopefully to get one answer!! I have an ulcer in my right foot, and for years they have suspected me of being diabetic, (the foot has neuropathy).

Have been taking Metformin Extended release 2000 mg/day for more than an year. The diarhhea I used to have got in control about a month after starting Metfomin, but I still have a lot of gas even after a year, so much that it's affecting my daily life.

I am going to see an endocrinologist on the 18th. I am interested in taking either Byetta or Symlin because they both appear to cause weight loss, and I really want the help losing weight. Good BS control is always important too, but I already get that with Metformin
