I've been looking at the various options for a medic alert bracelet/necklace/watch, etc. I'm probably going to get a bracelet, but would really like to know the thoughts of some first responders and medical personnel.

Do all Byetta pens have a notch in the glass near the top rim of the clear area? I thought my pen was broken (my vision is not too clear to see the fine details) but now I think the pen is manufactured that way.

Is Sucralose (Splenda) suitable for Type 1 diabetics or do you have to count it as sugar? The sales blurb says it is not absorbed by the gut and is excreted via faeces & urine. I cannot find any thread on this subject. Plenty on Aspartame.
