Stress and BG20 May 2007 09:54 GMT29
Can stress cause a spontaneous increase in BG. I left the house this AM and
got caught up in the morning traffic. Within a few minutes I was filling
sick, pulled over and checked my BG again. It had shot up 60 pts. I had had
a not carb breakfast this morning.

Recently my clinic renewed my prescription for syringes; but they made
a mistake in the type. When I got the order, it was in a bag that I
did not open for a few days until I ran out of the old ones. then,
when I opened the bag, I didn't even look at the numbers on the box. I

Strange pains in my upper leg/thigh... any ideas?20 May 2007 00:16 GMT4
Starting yesterday I have had some unusual pains in my right upper
thigh/leg - the same area where I had been feeling numb if my bG was
going too low. Grants the past 2 days have been very long work-wise,
with Thursday being on my feet for 8  hours (normally sit behind a desk)

I'll just jump right in and introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Bill, and I'm a recently (yesterday) diagnosed diabetic.
I had suspected I might be diabetic for quite some time, but I've been
without health insurance for over four years now.  I've recently, however,
LDL poor predictor of CHD and CVD risk19 May 2007 16:14 GMT12
This is why risking the side effects of a statin for LDL lowering to
proposed targets is not worthwhile.

The Cardio-Vascular Event19 May 2007 09:50 GMT1
I just had my first Diabetes II related heart attack in January 2007.
Before the heart attack, I could always rely on heavy exercises and
medication to bring my blood glucose levels down. All that has changed
for me, now. I'm working my way back to a full thirty minute exercise
Gliclazide protects beta cells19 May 2007 09:48 GMT1
We always here the mantra, based on little evidence it seems, that sulfs
destroy beta cells by overworking them. Well here's an intersting bit of
very recent research that suggests the exact opposite as far as Gliclazide
( the commonest sulf in use in the UK ) is concerned ...
Guys Comment19 May 2007 07:25 GMT2
I see so many theories and guesses on diabetes.  I spent several

offered an significant help.
I searched the Internet as soon as I could get a local

Odd figures19 May 2007 00:20 GMT13
Last night I tested my blood and got 3.9 (mmol/L).
This morning it was over 8 but within 5 minutes it was 7.1.
I ate nothin in between and the evening test was 95 minutes after food (my peak is usually at about 90 minutes).
