Can stress cause a spontaneous increase in BG. I left the house this AM and got caught up in the morning traffic. Within a few minutes I was filling sick, pulled over and checked my BG again. It had shot up 60 pts. I had had a not carb breakfast this morning.

Starting yesterday I have had some unusual pains in my right upper thigh/leg - the same area where I had been feeling numb if my bG was going too low. Grants the past 2 days have been very long work-wise, with Thursday being on my feet for 8 hours (normally sit behind a desk)
