I have just had my blood test results.
Since my Thyroxine was upped to 150ug it seems to have helped
Morning BG is now in 6mmol range was 8's
HbA1c was 6.1 now 5.9

I'm a type 2 that was on actos and amaryl, but within the last 6 months
there was a significant amount of weight gain. My endo put me on Byetta
10mcg about 3 weeks ago and reduced my actos to half of what I was taking.
My problem is that Byetta is causing strong side effects like ...

I just had a GTT done at my six-week postpartum visit, having had
gestational diabetes in this pregnancy as well as my previous
pregnancy.  The GD was diet-controlled, so it was not really very bad.
Yesterday's GTT results were: 105 at fasting, and 67 at two hours

I am on Lantus 100 units before bed. I am on Novolog 40 three times a day
with meals.

I've been lurking here off and on for over five years and  have learned
a lot. I hope I can get some good practical advice now for my problem.
I'm 75 years old, type 2, diagnosed in 1998. I'm managing pretty good
control. My A1C is usually 5.7 -6.0.

Just been for my 6 monthly clinic visit ... and my HB1Ac was down to
5.1% :)  Nurse is telling me that it's now in the non-diabetic range
(hurrah) ....
(It maxed out at 9.8% back in 2003, and been steadily dropping ever
