Just diagnosed T2, Dr. has me starting on Actos 30mg. Is it true it takes 8-12 weeks to become effctive? How's it working for you? Opnions please. Oh, and of course, meter recommendations if you can recommend one.

I am having a lumbar pain injection and an MRI this tuesday. The injection is done under anesthesia and contrast is used in the process. Later in the day I am scheduled for an MRI and I believe that contrast may also be used for that.
