I have a relatively new One Touch Ultra brand blood glucose meter. In the past six months, I have steadily decreased my intake of sugar and, most recently, carbs. For the past two weeks, my sugar intake has been almost non-existent. I am also taking Avandia (two pills daily).

Hi my seven year old daughter has high insulin. it was a 27 with a range of (0-16 UIU /ML) Her calculated mean glucose is 126. These test were taken at an 8 am fasting blood draw.

Since first diagnosed in 2001 my control had been pretty good and relatively easy. Late last year all that started to change. My usual meds and routines didn't seem to be working anymore. I had gotten lazy in the eating part, and I know that's at least part of it, if not most.

Was called in to the Doc because test showed my ALT had risen ..gone from 75 to 108 since last Aug. .We "discussed "alcohol consumption and the fact that I had added metformin SR 4 x 500 per day to my tablets concurrent with the increase.
