Well....here goes! I was just diagnosed w/ diabetes. Got my first meter and stuff and was told that my a1c was 12... Is this a "normal" or usual occurence when just being diagnosed? I have no track record to go by. Diabetes does run in my family. My mom, brothers and sisters
