My mother is currently testing and taking 28 units of "insulin
N" (NPH) in the morning 45 minutes to 1 hour before her 8 am
breakfast. In the afternoon she is testing and taking 9 units of
"insulin N" NPH about 2 hours before her 6 pm meal.

So now I have some questions.
I was reading someplace (I've read so much on diabetes that I can no

1. Beta Cells which produce insulin deteriorate/weaken and we end up
