Usually when I refill my metformin I get the handy dandy written 1 - 2 pager
on the drug info/interactions etc... The usual info that i've gotten as for
other prescriptions. So this time when I went to refill my metformin this is

I was recently diagnosed with advanced Prostate Cancer that has metastases.
I'm a T2, Dx of T2 ten years past.
I'd thought that some subtly dropped hints in previous posts might have

My endo wants me to go on 1000mg metformin, continue to use Lantus and
Humalog. She wants me to find out how many carbs I can eat at a meal
without spikes over 150 with no Humalog. She says it may be possible

Cholesterol, Thyroid, Liver, Triglycerides, etc
My Doctor did not think it beneficial to see an endocrinologist
He just upped my thyroxine by 50uG

Can anyone here explain why this might be?
In doing research for gastroparesis it seems it can take one of two routes.
Either speeding up the food through your system and causing hypos.  Now this
makes sense and would explain why early on with my diabetes I was having

Type II on Actos and Glucophage. Normally well controlled, except
recently I'm getting higher fasting readings, in the range  110 to 130
right out of bed in the AM. Pre-breakfast exercise always drops it by

Last three days I lost control for no apparent reason. I didn't change

Hi - New to group so please forgive me if I am asking a question that
has been asked many times before.  I am a Type II diabetic on
Metformin, Avandia and Lantus.  My blood sugars are under pretty good
control.
