He doesn't seem to think the problem is gallbladder, although he said diabetics often have no pain with that. My liver scan also included gallbladder and there were no problems seen at that time. My most recent labs also show no liver enzymes.

I'm seeing that a person is asked to consume a high carb diet for 3 days prior to a GTT. Why is that? Do they want to make sure your liver bank is full of glucose? How would the results be affected by a low carb diet before the GTT?
