Diuretics07 Oct 2006 00:48 GMT50
Some of you who have been here for a while may remember my saga of the

do remember my CA GP telling me to take an OTC one made of ...
Made it in 3 Mos.07 Oct 2006 00:43 GMT16
Hi - wanted to take a minute, come back by and thank you all again.  My
doctor just called to let me know my 3 month out A1c results were in and I
tested at 5.6%.  When diagnosed I started at 9.5% so I'm pretty proud of my
accomplishment here.  She was almost as thrilled as I am.
UseNet Utopia? LONG06 Oct 2006 23:37 GMT34
This post started out as a reply in the "Diabetes not obesity" thread,

the spirit in which it's intended.  Not an effort to take a shot at
anyone in particular.  Just a wish for what some might label a pipe
Stanford Test Results06 Oct 2006 23:32 GMT5
A few weeks before the study began, they sent us a mail in blood test pack.
I just got mailed the results back... and I also just had my quarterly
check up with my own doc.  I had done the home blood test and the lab
blood test within 5 days of each other.
I'm throwing my diabetes away.06 Oct 2006 21:36 GMT10
That's right.  I don't want it any more.  Into the trash it goes!  Kicking
it to the curb and all that jazz.
Last night I was sitting here at the computer and began to think...  Gee!
It's really fun to fly around the room like this.  I'm just floating

Insulin Views06 Oct 2006 20:30 GMT6
The are frequent views that animal insulin has
some superior characteristics.   I will
stay out of that argument.
However I was around and read the science news
My Story06 Oct 2006 19:35 GMT76
This is my story. Warning it's a long post.  Medical stats are listed at the
end of the post for those who care.  I'm posting this to say thanks to this
group, and the Internet in general. I hope that it might serve as a warning
and as an inspiration for the individuals who read it ...
Has anyone tried GlucoMenu?06 Oct 2006 19:21 GMT5
My daughter was just diagnosed as having "pre-diabetes".  In looking
for information on diet and menu ideas, we stumbled onto the website
http://www.glucomenu.com/
Has anyone heard of this site or, better yet, tried it and have first
Smoking06 Oct 2006 17:55 GMT31
Horary!
My fifth day without the devil's weed.
Think I am on a roll this time.  This morning I realized 45 mins after
waking up, that I hadn't even thought about smoking or not smoking.  It's
ATTN Julie Bove06 Oct 2006 17:41 GMT1
Julie - I saw you got some labs back.  Did you have a cholesterol
panel run?  If so how do your current numbers compare to your
pre-coconut oil numbers?

Dear Everyone,
I heard about the breast cancer that happened to one of my friend in

Her life is so pityful, even her doctor given up already. The doctor
Naughty boy -  again :(05 Oct 2006 22:20 GMT24
Well it was bound to happen. Latest MOT hasn't gone well, everything is
in fine except the Hba1c which has crept up to 10.
That said given the last few months of house move, job move, diet change
it's to be expected. Throw in a problem with insulin going off ( finally
