When to ignore your doctor's advice31 Oct 2006 21:31 GMT63
When you know better of course.
Well, that raises a lot of questions!
Let's first consider them in the context of a non-diabetic example. My
mother and all her children suffer from ulcerative colitis (UC). Some
The ROSSO Study31 Oct 2006 01:27 GMT3
This was probably discussed while I was wandering. The Roche
Accu-chek newsletter last week mentioned this study, but I'm
too cheap to pay for the full version.
At last some research of the subject, albeit still limited:
Newbie31 Oct 2006 01:03 GMT2
Good evening,
I'm not a diabetic (as far as I know) but I have two grandchildren who are.
No 2 son's daughter was eleven and became very ill, very suddenly while that
family was holidaying in Australia. She was helicopter-flown to a children's

I haven't spilled a diet drink yet, does it leave a sticky mess like a
sugared drink?

Ramblings30 Oct 2006 21:10 GMT3
Just one of my ramblings:
When born, we are provided with a finite capacity for
insulin production. It is inevitable that we will all become

Here it is - Glucobate - read it carefully and closely and
make sure you click on the links to see what it cures and

Colossal posts30 Oct 2006 10:07 GMT11
I was under the impression that newsgroups were about *news*, not about enormous posts better suited to websites (as full articles).

If a post is over 100 lines I won't bother ...

We're out of the hospital29 Oct 2006 21:20 GMT18
We got released from the hospital yesterday. Terri had a surprise for
me, he bought me a new car, and blue Acura RL, the exact car I had
wanted when we were looking. I haven't got to drive it yet, something
to look forward to.
How much exercise do you do?29 Oct 2006 21:15 GMT17

Not getting control as fast as I want29 Oct 2006 20:44 GMT23
Had a call from my PCP today with my lab results.  He rattled them off
very rapidly so I didn't get everything but gather that all had
improved over the last 4 months.  I did catch this much.
A1C    was 6.8   now 6.5
