Arsenic and Diabetes24 Sep 2006 19:26 GMT8
It's funny how small things lead the mind off in odd
directions.
I was watching a re-run of "Midsomer Mysteries" last night,
an English murder mystery made a decade or two ago. The
Using Insulin24 Sep 2006 19:05 GMT3
I have always been under the idea that taking too much insulin is just as
bad as not enough - this morning I attended a Diabetes Expo and the
endocrinologist attending the function stated that the amount of insulin
taken does not matter how much as long as it works - Is the above ...

Re: Exercise Cuts Diabetes Risk in People with Big Waists23 Sep 2006 23:23 GMT9
Andrew chung Adding his opinion to others:
" It is wiser to simply lose the visceral adiposity (VAT) that makes the
"big waists."
Losing the VAT cures metabolic syndrome (MetS).
Byetta Canada23 Sep 2006 21:07 GMT2
I have been lurking for about a year and a half, and have found alot of
valuable info on this group.  I have been diabetic since 1992, and have
controlled bg with metformin at first, and then metformin and glyburide
after 1999.  In April of 2005 I added Avandia.  Since that time, I ...
A lnk about the discvery of insulin23 Sep 2006 20:55 GMT2
Not long ago, by my standards,   When
a person developed type 1 diabetes
it was like a cancer thing.  Years ago

It is up tp us.23 Sep 2006 16:04 GMT5
These groups is what we make them.
Wish I had a group for another recent problem.
The IV run is over.  That needle was in for six days.
It will take a while to see if the results were good.
Protein and Satiety etc23 Sep 2006 11:49 GMT9
Another take on protein, carbs, satiety and all that. Not
mice this time - locusts, crickets, butterflies - and some
people. Fascinating reading (well, for me anyway:-):

T2 - odd things happen with insulin secretion23 Sep 2006 01:25 GMT1
http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/543490_1
"We conclude that insulin secretion decreases over time in many patients
with type 2 diabetes. Because the rate of decline is variable, the
predictive value of any single measurement is limited. These data indicate
Susan's breakfast22 Sep 2006 23:32 GMT42

what it usually is in the morning--have no idea why), ...
Finally A1c below 6%22 Sep 2006 22:09 GMT17

just four months.  Good show Ed.
