New kid on the block20 Sep 2006 22:46 GMT4
I don’t know if it’s common knowledge yet but One Touch has a new meter
out called the Ultra 2.  I just got mine today and haven’t used it yet
but it looks really sharp and has more bells and whistles than the old
one.
Cinnamin helps my fasting BG20 Sep 2006 22:15 GMT23
I've been struggling to get my morning BG down from the 120's to around 100
for awhile.  I went from 2 glucovance to 3 per day (1 before bed).  That
worried my doctor that I wouldn't go hypo during the night.  I have tried
eating some light carb snack before bed, not eating carbs ...

recent trends and developments.  The URL is

warm insulin20 Sep 2006 17:41 GMT6
My chemist thinks he is helping me by delivering my prescription for me.
Yesterday he delivered my repeat prescription including insulin early in the

kindly passed it over when I returned from work at the end ...
Yea! 5% club20 Sep 2006 17:10 GMT29
Made it in 4 months to 5.8% from initial 11.9%.
Low carb, smart carbs, glucovance 1.25/250 3x per day plus 1000mg cinnamon
before bed.
Cool stuff.
Another ICR question20 Sep 2006 15:39 GMT5
I've noticed certain food totally blow my BG out of the water even
though the same # of carbs from another food does not. For example I can
eat cereal with 60g of carbs, take 20 units of Apidra for my bolus, and
have my bg at 150 two hours later. But if I eat a bagel with 60g of

Driving with Type 120 Sep 2006 12:11 GMT70
The ADA (and to a lesser extent JDF) websites are filled with legal
advocacy about Type 1's (and Type 2's, too!) suffering employment
discrimination because they're viewed as too high of a risk when
driving (and a million other things too.)
