OT/ Email Advice31 Aug 2006 01:31 GMT19
A question for some of our computer experts.

change in my email address. I don't want to create a privacy
problem by posting to multiple addresses in the "To" field

a reminder to all30 Aug 2006 17:26 GMT61
I was sitting here fixing my system (darn dogs!) and watching "Dr. G"
on Discovery Health Channel and the person she was doing an autopsy
on was discovered dead in the home a "known drug dealer"  so they
figured she died of a drug overdose. She was found with a glucose meter

A year ago I was a good little doobee and bought a 50 pack of Ketostix "for
sick day testing".  I never opened them, never got sick, never even tried
one, can't find them and they probably expired by now anyways.  All the
recent discussion about DKA brought back the fear I felt ...
Another Waste Of Money (IMHO)30 Aug 2006 16:49 GMT6
So I am cruising the web, checking out news stories about diabetes and
I come across a story titled "Race Affects Medication Adherence In
Type 2 Diabetes". The title strikes me as odd, how can "race"

You may have mentioned this in the past in your other discussions of
Danni's Hashi's.  Trust me, I sympathize!  Hashi's is a bitch of a
disease!  I also notice you've had her tested for PCOS and she is also
being treated for that.  PCOS can also affect weight (poor girl!)

As one who has been told I am "pre-Diabetic" I am wondering if I may
participate here...or is there a better group? I'm very early in the
learning phase and hope to minimize my journey toward further illness

really scared30 Aug 2006 04:23 GMT46
For some reason,my diabetes has gone way out of control. I've always managed
to keep it at good levels but it has been creeping up slowly. Yesterday,it
hit 480 and I freaked. I called my dr who had me go to the emergency room.
It looks like I will have to go on insulin and that ...
Strane starvation effect in polar expedition30 Aug 2006 03:58 GMT7
UK TV just showed a reconstruction of Scott and Amundsen's race to
pole, with two teams using the same clothes, kit, diets, etc., as the
original expeditions. The Amundsen team got there first, and back
safely in good health. They pulled the Scott team out on medical
