Hello All! I am three weeks new to my dx. I was at a yearly ob gyn appt and significant sugars were present in a urine test. Which followed by blood work... my Fasting reading was 178 and 2 hours after eating was 258! Completely freaked me out. Good news in three weeks I've lost ...

I read on another bbs that the blood sugar meters used in the UK are whole blood calibrated rather than the plasma calibrated meters now used in the U.S.. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is, it makes a HUGE difference
