| Good (Great?) Diabetes Doctor | 19 Jul 2006 23:47 GMT | 66 |
Greetings, everyone! To get right to the point, my current doctor in Burbank (CA) is not treating my diabetes properly. I'll skip the specifics, I just know he's not doing his job. We've been going round and round; he keeps

| Which pump upgrade? | 19 Jul 2006 23:07 GMT | 2 |
We have a 61 year friend with Type A since she was in her 20's. She has a pump now that perhaps should be replaced with one that can alarm her. She seems to have reactions (episode of blacking out) far too frequently. She had one so severe last month that she was hospitalized

| Baby history | 19 Jul 2006 15:18 GMT | 5 |
I was born in the "prehistoric" days. I had to share my baby milk with a neighbor. Seems this baby was not doing well and no "canned formula" i n the rural areas then.

| Hello hypo! | 19 Jul 2006 09:53 GMT | 42 |
Had a nasty incident last night with a hypo that seemed to come out of nowhere! I just hope I'm not back into that old cycle again where I have a lot of them. The night before, my BG must have dropped rapidly. I had symptoms of hypo but tested at 98. Not a hypo, but sure felt ...

| Hello Long Time Since I Posted | 19 Jul 2006 03:13 GMT | 19 |
I haven't even peeked at a news group in something like 3 years. I don't even know for sure how my nickname will show on the list of threads. Don't care to mess around with it right now anyway. It was opinion8d the last time I checked it.

| Eye test cockup | 18 Jul 2006 23:10 GMT | 9 |
Went in for the vampire bit for the MOT today. Asked the nurse what's happening with retinopathy tests - my regular optician, who's got the whizzy camera, isn't allowed to do them any more. Apparently I'm the second diabetic this week who didn't get a letter calling us in to a ...

| Insulin Failure | 18 Jul 2006 21:57 GMT | 12 |
Yesterday was bad day for unbelievable level of spiking. I've been spiking for almost no reason in the past couple weeks. The morning spikes are back, fierce as ever. The 147 spike at 12:48 had no apparent reason behind it. Lunch was chicken and broccoli, nothing to
