Got my labs back today.... A1c is 5.3 down from almost 12 in February and 8.x in March. That was the good news. The bad news is that my total protein in the 24 hr urine test is high. The protein per unit volume is in range but the total is out. What does this

I went in today. He did say some small vessels in my left eye looked interesting, but didn't say what that meant. No signs of diabetic damage though. And no other changes. So all looks good there.
