Exercise In Itself Improves Blood Glucose Control in Type 2 Diabetes31 Jul 2006 21:16 GMT7
Now, a new systematic review shows that exercise helps regulate blood
glucose (sugar) levels, increases the body's sensitivity to insulin and
decreases blood lipids (fats) while also helping to burn body fat.

Dry Eyes31 Jul 2006 20:21 GMT16
I have had dry eyes for many years and restasis nor any of the other
eye drops helped much.  I sit and watch TV with my eyes closed sometimes.
I eat a lot of spicy food.  I use Texas Pete like some kids use Ketchup and

5.1 HBA1C  ???31 Jul 2006 19:22 GMT37
I remember glancinc at an article about someone who had an abnormally
low HBA1C some time ago. Well I think the same thing has happened to
me. MY last two A1C's were 5.2 and 5.1 and it probably should be an 8
or 9. Can anyone give me the name and/or cause of the condtion so that

Sock Puppets30 Jul 2006 22:43 GMT1
Checking out the group today I see that there is a pointless little
spat going on where Phildo and Peter C, apparently acting in concert,
are trying to ruin the reputation of a poster called: Trinckwasser.
Normally I would ignore these Usenet idiocies where little people with
What happens when you ask for NO SUGAR?30 Jul 2006 21:25 GMT10
What happens when you ask for no sugar? You get honey! I ordered a
drink and specifically said no sugar. So instead I get my drink with honey!
I guess it's not good enough to assume that what you ask for is what you get.
On a side note, I find that just like the days when I suffered ...

Thinning of the hair question30 Jul 2006 19:59 GMT8
I have a relative (19/f) been Type 1 for about 8 weeks, recently she has
noticed thinning of the hair, with much more loss than normal when brushing.
Is there a connection between T1 and hair loss ? If so is it a temporary
adjustment. She has 4 low dose insulins jabs a day.
How often do you change your lancet?30 Jul 2006 15:59 GMT58
This may seem like a silly question, but...how often do you change the
lancet on your meter?
I don't share my meter with anyone (so there's no risk of passing any
blood-borne pathogen), and I've usually been changing it once every

Metabolism. Seems like more good reason for all you guys out there to
Amaryl30 Jul 2006 02:55 GMT8
Have you been prescribed Amaryl, and did you experience a significant
weight loss that you attribute to that drug?
I'm M, T2, 65, and on glucophage for 6 years. But my fasting bg has been
steadily rising, and my A1c has gone from 6.x to 8 despite a lot of
