Are the expiration dates on meter packages for the actual meter,
or for the 10 or so strips that it comes with?
If I bought a meter (new in package, never used) that had an expiration
date of 5/2006, would it still be accurate?

I received one of these for Christmas but never tried it since I'd read they
didn't work very well.  But I decided to try it tonight because it was a hot
day and I couldn't seem to keep enough beverages chilled in the fridge.  Too
much food in there!
