"junk food" for diabetes19 May 2006 23:00 GMT6
junk food for diabetes
Someone told me that candies with no sugar on it and popcorn like
kettle corn are the best "junk foods" for diabetes.
Anyone have other ideas?

I'm reading some literature of alleged studies on type 2 patienst taking HCA
and Chromium to lower blood sugar (or increase cell sensitivity) - has
anyone else studied this?

Diabetic sex question (serious question)19 May 2006 18:45 GMT5
A few years ago, I lost my sensation of sexual orgasm.  Everything
else still works.  My GP has no ideas and my Urologist just blows it
off (so to speak) to neuropathy.  I have no outward symptoms of
neuropathy.

Hi everyone!  A friend of mine is embarking on a very special (and
mostly crazy, but he knows that) event in June. Here is what he has to
say about it:

Q for the ladies re: female hormones and bgs19 May 2006 13:38 GMT8
At what point in your cycle did you find your bgs going higher than
usual or lower than usual?
I'm curious as to which female hormones correspond to higher and/or
lower numbers - as I remember estrogen is higher in the early part of
AROMATHERAPY - oils for diabetees19 May 2006 13:08 GMT9
just last 2 moths I had 3 people stoped using drugs and insuline for their
diabetes problems.
All this just by using proper diet, supplements and ESSENTIAL OILS.
Do you know that some oils can dring you sugar down to proper level within
prednisone - high bg's19 May 2006 13:08 GMT13
Dear Friends,
A close friend of mine has been ill, and was put on prednisone to help her
heal.   She has been on a very low dose of Glucophage for a while, (250 mg)
and didn't increase her dose, even when the doctor told her to do so.  She
Any way besides Metformin/Glucophage to get your liver to stop dumping?19 May 2006 10:15 GMT26
I think my liver is being stupid. I'm having another one of those
phases where I can't get the BGs under 100 despite eating hardly any
carbs. And instead of getting hungry pre-meal I seem to go right from
being ok to being shaky with higher bgs (like 120) before I eat. Then I
Happy Mother's Day All.18 May 2006 20:41 GMT26
Happy Mother's day to all the mothers. I had the kids yesterday, so
bought one of the Baskin-Robbins ice cream cakes for dessert, and didn't
even want any of it (unusual), so looking forward to a quiet day today
with a good movie. Hope all of you have a wonderful day.
I'm back from Dayton!  :o) ~ power chair, great-grands, reception, MG18 May 2006 18:27 GMT11
Hello everyone!  I am back from a FABULOUS trip to see the great-grandchildren, and to attend
the wedding reception - WITH my new power chair which enabled me to feel like I had been
returned to the human race, and felt so *normal*!!  From the moment we drove off, until turning
Newbie with questions...18 May 2006 17:16 GMT12
You sem a pretty friendly bunch of people and I hope you don't mind my
asking my question here.
I have some symptoms of what I think may be diabetes.  My doctor has a
stupid policy of not being able to get an appointment in the future unless

Diabetic eyes18 May 2006 08:32 GMT17
I am just wondering when others determine that their eyesight is too
bad to drive. My eyes have deteriorated the past few years, and I have
had cataract surgery to remove my cloudy lenses so I can see, but only
