Almost Kissed His a.s Goodbye23 May 2006 03:15 GMT168
Monday morning we were heading to Walmart and were doing about 45 mph.
Good thing traffic was light.  We rounded a curve and came upon this
ol fart also heading eastbound.  You will never guess what he was
riding in, or on, - a god damned scooter, you know a powered chair,

Went to the foot doc last week and found the damned nail fungus is not
getting better.  Two orders of generic Lamisil tablets have stopped
working.  In fact, it appears the fungus is getting worse on the right
foot big toe.  We've been fighting this damn thing for two years and
Olive Oil Facts22 May 2006 23:47 GMT14
I decided to look this up because there seems to be some controversy hinted
at here that olive oil might not be healthy when heated.  The lady who runs
the health food store near me told me the same thing.  She said it was fine
for baking or cooking with but not for popping popcorn ...
Novo Nordisk no longer making animal insulin: a question or two22 May 2006 23:27 GMT4
Maybe I'm behind the times here, but I just found out from an article on
the Diabetes UK website that Novo Nordisk has ceased production of all
animal insulins, and that what stocks remain will last till some time in
2007.  I'm a Type 1, still on twice-a-day pork Mixtard 30/70, ...
Can you tell if they switched the diet and non diet bibs?22 May 2006 22:56 GMT1
For the last week the diet soda at work tastes funny.  I don't drink
much of it, however I was wondering if there is an easy test one can do
to detect for the presenee of sugar?  I'm not certain, but I am
wondering if they hooked a non diet bib to a diet bib line.

TOTALLY be gone - at the end of 3 days.

Addisons Disease & Diabetes22 May 2006 21:41 GMT3
For a while now I have steadily lost weight and some other symptoms
have had my diabetes doctor arrange a test for Addisons.
On Wednesday I had to go to the local hospital where they injected a
ACTH (?) Stimulation Test. From an hour later my sugar levels went

One month ago I gave a prescription for Avantamet to my usual Pharmacy.
They did not have any in stock.  After three day they came back saying that
the supplier had production problem and were unable to fill the
prescription.  Today, at my usual pharmacy, I learned that Avantamet ...

My mom has diabetes and she is coming from India to visit me in the US

1. Would any diagnostic lab (Eg. Quest) in the US accept prescriptions

Tranquilizer needed22 May 2006 06:09 GMT34
I've been under some stress lately which immediately impacts my blood
pressure which is typically good with Lisinopril.
On Tuesday I had a 12 - 15 minute panic attack during an MRI that I simply
had to endure without a tranquilizer.
