It was my birthday today, so we went for a meal at a local fish restaurant, I had fresh plaice in bedcrumbs and a green salad no potatoes, and I just couldn't resist the homemade little white finger rolls. When i got back an hour later my bg was 10.1, since then it has

Ever since I went on this low-carb diet, I have not had one single instance of heartburn! I used to have it frequently, and it was very painful, especially if I didn't have any TUMS around.

Prior to finding out that I had diabetes, pizza was my favorite food, and I ate it three-to-four times per week. Looking back it's amazing that I consumed so many carbs without worrying at all about it. Now I would consider a small slice to be a treat, although I haven't had such
