| Pedometer recommendations? | 02 May 2006 03:59 GMT | 9 |
My cheapie pedometer croaked (ok, it suffered mechanical failure when it fell off my beltloop and was subsequently run over by the garbage truck) so I'm in the market for a new one. With the qualifier that more expensive isn't always better, what's the best-value pedometer on

| Surgery and Insulin issues | 02 May 2006 02:46 GMT | 14 |
I'll likely be in surgery soon and spend some time in the hospital. I'd like to keep my sugars under the kind of quality control that I now have. I want to test myself, post surgery, and inject myself. I want to have a wide range of choices of what to eat--mainly low/slow carb.

| Best meter for the dollar? | 01 May 2006 21:18 GMT | 24 |
I guess the question should be "What is the least expensive test strips?". I have an old WalMart ReliOn meter that I bought a while back. I was thinking about getting a doctor's prescription to get a quality meter, and use the ReliOn as a back-up.

As I am thinking about adjusting/expanding my diet, possibly including new low-medium glycemic carbs foods.. ..after good info from other folks at ASD...I'm not going to radically increase my carb intake. I've been fairly consistent in keeping to 40-60 carbs max/day for the past
