I am going on a trip to the islands for a week. I am advised to take extra pens/cartridges in case current one is lost, broken, malfunctions, etc. Normally, I keep my unused insuling pens in my refrigerator.

T2 since 1972, on insulin since '99. I added Symlin three months ago and my first HbA1c since then is 5.7, down from 6.9, where it had been hovering for years. Downsides were minor.

Hi I am new to the group and have had diabetes since 1989. I am on lantus and a bunch of oral meds for control. My Doctor gave me some reading material about byetta and wants me to consider it. Anyone using this or have any thoughts about it? My last A1C was 7.5. Thanks.

I am wondering if anyone keeps track of their results with an Excel spread sheet. I love the way that Health keeps the log for you but I do not like all the extra stuff it prints when you ask it to print. Like what finger you stuck, What meter you used, etc.
