Since I started Niaspan 1000mg at night to raise my HDL levels my morning glucose readings are averaging about 40 points higher than they were before Niaspan. My primary and cardiologist are happy in that my HBA1c is only 6.3. This does not make me happy. My cardio is suggesting

I just want to spread the word to people with diabetes. .My son has been Type 1 since 7 months. At that time he was diagonosed, the Docs told me to look for renal failure or blindness by this time in his life, twenty four years later.

I was told I was a type 2 diabetic seven years ago. I have keep it controlled with diet and excercise. I checked my blood two or three times a week. Sometimes fasting sometimes two hours after meals. Had no set pattern. Had a avg. reading of 85. About two weeks back I checked

G'day G'day Folks, In the study described below some statin was replaced with psyllium, a good source of soluble fibre. Interestingly enough they didn't test out replacing all the statin with soluble fibre.
