Lantus and Apidra users22 Apr 2006 01:18 GMT14
I just came into the 21st century with my insulin therapy. Was on NPH
and R for 20 years. Now I'm using Lantus and Apidra. Seems like my
appetite is noticably reduced since. Has anyone else noticed this? Is
there an appetite suppressant in one of these insulins, or does one of

Clogged Arteries with Atkins?21 Apr 2006 20:40 GMT37
I haven't seen much to commend the Atkins diet.  There are the usual
girls in the office.  At first they lose weight, then later they
invariably blow up like ballons.  We have probably all witnessed this
astonishing phenomenon.
Canned mackeral or sardines - breathalyzer21 Apr 2006 20:38 GMT181
In trying to add more protein to my breakfast, I've tried canned makeral
or sardines which was great except I felt like I had fishy breath for
most of the day. So not a good idea for morning...... Unless, a strong
breath mint works!

A great grandmother :) My eldest grandchild is only 5, I
think I have a ways to go yet :) None of my other adult
children even look like wanting kids so it may be up to my
current grandkids to keep the line going for a while. My
Stats for "typical" Type 1 ER visits/hospitalizations21 Apr 2006 13:30 GMT2
Are there any studies about hospitalization/emergency room visit
statistics for non-new Type 1's, for severe hypoglycemia and
ketoacidosis?
I know that there's certainly a large spread in the numbers, but I'm

Apparently April 15 is important to USAians. The annual
celebration of their cheerful desire to pay for the
privilege of being governed and protected:-)
