question about carbs13 Apr 2006 23:43 GMT20
One thing I have noticed that a lot of people have for breakfast is
peanut butter.  I thought tonight after I ate my fish and cheese that
I might have a tad of peanut butter and it has nine carbs per 2
tablespoons in it, yet some of you all said to cut out carbs
CLA revisited13 Apr 2006 23:10 GMT39
I took CLA (conjugated linoliec acid) for many years.  I'd read that it
helped with weight loss.  While I can't say that it actually did this, it
did seem to help with the conversion of fat to muscle.  Because I am
disabled and have lowered immunity and get sick a lot, I can't ...

I have corresponded with Jamie Talan, Newsday science writer (and an
author of the book about the SIDS scandal, Death of Innocents) about the

The Endocrine Function of Adipose Tissue: An Update13 Apr 2006 20:25 GMT3
G'day G'day Folks,
One function of a support group is to bring one another up to date
with what is known to the scientific community but is too complex to
be discussed in a brief doctors visit.  I often marvel at the ready

BD Logic - USB cable?13 Apr 2006 16:06 GMT5
I just received a new BD Logic meter to replace my old Accucheck
advantage. I love the fact that shows results in only 5 seconds. One of
the inserts says I can link it to Windows XP with a USB cable. Where
does the USB cable plug in to the meter? I don't see anywhere for it to

Food for today12 Apr 2006 21:52 GMT36
Alan and who ever else is interested,
This is what I have had today.  I will probably have to have a snack
before I got to bed and a zero coke.  Not good but much better,  I had
too much milk at lunch though, but I could have drunk more.
Recipe help?12 Apr 2006 19:40 GMT209
My father, a diabetic, is having quintuple bypass surgery today.  I
will be staying with him the first week of April, after he is released
from the hospital, to help take care of him.  One of the things I want
to do while I'm there is prepare some meals for him that he can freeze
Good News from the Retina Man :-)12 Apr 2006 19:21 GMT33
Hello again, dear friends
Today I had another visit with the super-dooper retina specialist, and
all the test results were really good, except one of the autoimmune
tests, and that was borderline, so he is not too worried about that
