I thought I would just share with you that today I ran the Leeds Student
Race 10km in a time of 1 hours 9 minutes & 56 seconds. Until a year a go the
furthest I had run was 100metres & struggled to do that.
All that time in the gym has finally paid off both health wise & ...

Mixing Levemir?30 Apr 2006 17:07 GMT4
Has anybody else tried mixing Levemir??
I have recently, last week, gone on Levemir after UltraLente was discontinued.
I know mixing is not "recomended", but it was not "recomended" for UltraLente
either and I have been mixing it, with Doctors approval, for 20 years.
Abuse of metformin30 Apr 2006 13:47 GMT35
Yesterday in one of local papers, the Parisien, there was a two page spread
on dieting strategies that could kill you.  Among them was the use of
antidiabetic products.  Here's what the article had to say (I have
translated it from the French):
Good wishes, please!30 Apr 2006 05:54 GMT26
Hello, asd faithful.  Tomorrow I'm having bunion surgery.  I would love
your good thoughts for me.  I use exercise as a big part of my T2
diabetes control, and I'm going to be quite limited in what I can do
for an indeterminate period of time.  I will be able to use my home
I'm sick of this garbage30 Apr 2006 05:23 GMT48
Several years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes, type 2.  About 18
months ago I was hospitalized for a laundry list of things, mostly
stuff that could have been avoided (probably) if I'd had a more
"robust" lifestyle.  That was when I quit smoking.

I was looking for a liquid, read drinkable anti oxidant.
I finally found a company called Vemma, they claim to have the
strongest liquidized anti oxidant from the Mangosteen fruit. And they
ship worldwide.

friendship,
Just got my latest blood work results today; I thought I might share them
with the world; not because I'm so important in the grand scheme of things,
Diabetes, exercise, and vegetarian lifestle29 Apr 2006 16:28 GMT4
When I found out I had developed type II diabetes, my doctor said that
main cause of my high blood sugar was my weight.  Then I weighed about
365 pounds.  Yikes.  I know, but I just could not take it off.  I had
been sick with another ailment for almost three years.  I was bed
Buzz without Booze29 Apr 2006 15:54 GMT6
My doc sent my Rx request for tranquilizers to the pharmacy but the staff
didn't phone to tell me it had been done. I thought I'd been forgotten but I
called the pharmacy on a hunch and it was there.
I'll have to pick it up tomorrow as I've already take a Lorazepam my sister

Question on BMI29 Apr 2006 13:50 GMT15
I've lost 25 pounds now since being diagnosed.  Today I crossed over
the line to become a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 29.9.  At the time of
diagnosis (mid February) I was a BMI 34.5.  That changes my official
classification from "obese" to "overweight".
