Byetta28 Mar 2006 23:07 GMT1
I have recently started taking Byetta. I have found that although I do
not get the main side effect (naseau), I definetly feel bloated and
tired after taking it.  I am wondering if anyone has experienced this
and does this effect go away at some point?
Change in FBG28 Mar 2006 22:10 GMT13
On the routine tests I'm not quite prediabetic, but close enough to be
concerned.   I did a bit of research in this group and other places and
bought a meter.  I found blood glucose rising to 9 or 10 PP quite often.
That was enough.  I began the exercise and diet changes and have ...

Stigma of adult diabetes28 Mar 2006 21:01 GMT66
I am truly tired of explaining that juvenile diabetes is not the same
as "diabesity." I wish diabetes (type 1) could be called something
different, something without the stigma of the self-induced illness by
the same name.
Diabetic Retinopathy and Plavix28 Mar 2006 19:56 GMT1
I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for over 40 years. The only
diabetic complication that I have suffered from in the past is coronary
artery disease, which is prevalent in my family history. Eleven years ago, I
had a double by-pass. Presently I take a few cardiac ...

How does Diabetes affect the liver? I have been having tingling in the
upper right quadrant right underneath the breast since I found I was
diabetic? Like right before my period I get the tingling and my sugar is
low for the two weeks before my period?
Endo vist. The Muffin Worked! 28 Mar 2006 15:18 GMT22
This was the very first endo visit I've had where I didn't have to
listen to the speech about how well-controlled I am and how the doctor
really doesn't know what to tell me because none of her patients have
such good blood sugars, and on and on.

Re: Insulin Poll - Dosing?28 Mar 2006 11:46 GMT1
If I read you correctly that Byetta is a substitute for insulin, it is not (I made sure do
double check the Patient Information at byetta.com before stating that for a fact :o), nor is it
formulated for use with insulin, though some T2's have been able to stop using insulin (by

Anemia and A1c test28 Mar 2006 02:46 GMT12
I am slightly anemic because my autoimmune system destroys red blood cells
faster than they can be produced. Therefore it would seem that the turnover
of glycosated RBC is less than the ususal 90 days.
What effect does anemia have on the accuracy of the A1c test? (Higher or

If you ran the ADA...28 Mar 2006 01:50 GMT104
Based on a couple of other posts in here I thought it might be a good
idea to pose a hypothetical question.  Consider it like Fantasy
Football and Baseball where you get to be the owner of a team and do
what you want...
