I 'm down a total of 49 pounds since I started my diet and exercise program January 13, 2005. I passed the one-year mark over two months ago maintaining the weight loss. Eating slow carb has made a huge difference in my overall health.

Thought I'd drop by and share my report card. The nurse called with just two numbers this morning. My triglycerides were way up to 277 but my A1c was 5.2. Everything else was great according to the nurse.

I had my second recent OCT scan and retinal exam today, plus a long chat with the Ophthalmologist. In brief, my retinopathy seems to be receding quickly. The left eye shows a great deal of improvement, as do many areas of my right.
