Interesting.  I tried to get one of my endos to be my PCP but he refused
due to the increased workload.  I wasn't happy about it, but that's

Single Daily Injections02 Feb 2006 03:58 GMT86
Does anyone out there take single daily doses of insulin rather than
pump or multiple daily injections? I have tried both MDI and the pump.

My blood sugar meter is also made by Roche but it's a Glucotrend 2, so I'm
not affected.  If your meter is a Accu-Chek Aviva, please check the serial

Advanced dieting methods and fat burning techniques01 Feb 2006 16:46 GMT2
Food is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because
the food that you eat can either make you thin or fat. You don't get
fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat because

Why are we here?01 Feb 2006 07:38 GMT160
I am pretty jaded by newsgroup behavior, and although I just toy with
unsubscribing, I'm sure newbies, either to diabetes or usenet, or both,
might be intimidated or disgusted by the current back and forth by a
"select" group of posters. Why are we here? Normally, I would just ...
FREE Diabetic Alert Necklace01 Feb 2006 06:37 GMT1
I know nothing of this organization...
Someone passed this info on to me, and so I pass it on to you all.
They will send you a free necklace that indicates you are a diabetic...
they don't ask for anything more than your name and address.
BG to HbA1c01 Feb 2006 04:23 GMT11
I was looking for a way to convert my BG reading to reflect what my HbA1c
