I am new to this group. I have been reading posts and it seams like a nice mix of type 1 and type 2 posters. Now I have a question about insulin pumps. My six year old son was put on the insulin pump the first of last month.

I was diagnosed as Type II about 5-1/2 years ago much to my surprise. I was always healthy and had just lost about 15 pounds over a period of about 10 months so I thought I was on the right track. I am absolutely needle-phobic.

My long winded post under "Pritikin -Cure?" was to give a background of my experiences. I reiterate, Pritikin was a lifesaver for me. I had to find out for myself, not "statistics" and testimonials which do not mean too much to me. My many years of experiences have proven that.
