Comparison of Accu-Chek lancet devices?21 Dec 2005 20:21 GMT5
I use a FreeStyle meter (which has been very accurate) and have also been
using the lancet device that came with the meter.  I find the lancet device
acceptable, but I would like to try one of the Accu-Chek devices because I
have read so many positive statements about them.  ...

I started the process to get a new insulin pump.
http://www.cozmore.com/ is what I am going with.  They offered me a
500.00 trade in on the old pump and offered me a few other items for
free that normally ship separate from the pump.  But we are waiting on

Please a less objectionable term for "liver dump" ??? :)21 Dec 2005 13:14 GMT84
I've been wondering if we can come up with a better term for "liver
dump"?  It brings such a horrible image into my mind every time I see
the term.  I know there's a medical term for it, but it's too L O N G,
so how 'bout some ideas???  Should I offer a prize to the winner?
Citrus??21 Dec 2005 02:58 GMT22
Are they all created equal? My Doctor, concerned about my
Triglycerides, advised me to have citrus at least once a day. I've
mostly been eating navel oranges and tangerines. Should I add others?
Any to watch out for?

Insulin-dependent diabetics and police custody.20 Dec 2005 22:48 GMT19
I'm a Type I diabetic, and I've heard of a number of cases where
diabetics have been arrested, and have died in police custody because
the police have denied them their insulin.  I'm a law abiding citizen,
but these days that doesn't seem to mean as much as it used to...
Reuse of needles20 Dec 2005 22:18 GMT33
BD packs highly magnified images of used needle points in their boxes of
syringes to persuade us not to reuse needles. Their image of a twice used
needle shows the needle point bent backwards like a hook.
I've occasionally reused needles by overloading them with insulin and then
Metformin is dirt cheap!!20 Dec 2005 19:22 GMT33
Medco.com charges only $55.41 for a 90 day supply at 4 per day. That's 360
pills for only $56.
How possibly could anyone complain about the cost of Metformin? Do they want
it for free or what???
