Well, I'm back... I've still got about 5300 messages to browse through
in this group (I arrived home only an hour ago), but wanted to post on
my trip experiences.
To Recap: I went on a 13 day cruise, plus a five day road trip each

MiniMed Paradigm 515 Remote25 Dec 2005 21:08 GMT5
I just bought a remote for my 515 pump on Ebay but there weren't any
instructions with it.  I'd love it if anyone here could tell me how to use
this thing.  Many thanks.

there.  So, I copied it and am posting it here hoping someone has some ideas
or experience with this that will help me.
I was diagnosed about 4 months ago.  My A1c was 11.0.  At my last visit 2

Gefilte Fish25 Dec 2005 14:34 GMT15
I had some gefilte fish this evening at a social event. Hadn't had any for
quite some time.
With beet horseradish it was quite nice, brought back some pleasant
memories.

What shoots your sugar levels through the roof?24 Dec 2005 15:39 GMT56
I have spoken to several friends and relatives who are diabetic and I
found that there are many different things that raise their sugar

I concocted this recipe by liberally modifying one in a magazine that
used sugar.  It took a bit of experimentation, since the sugar free
chocolate behaves differently that the chocolate chips the original
recipe called for, but the results were well worth it.  These are very
Lancet devices24 Dec 2005 03:34 GMT25
another post made me wonder,  How many people use just the lancet and
how many people use the device.  I have never used the device since
diagnosis.

Company potluck24 Dec 2005 03:27 GMT6
I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be ignoring the meter for a day.
It's potluck time and I'll be lucky to find enough foods that aren't
eggy. On the other hand, carby will be another matter. My boss is touted
to have the BEST chili. How can I refuse?
