Quick drops in BG07 Dec 2005 12:29 GMT4
My son was diagnosed with T1 last month.  He is on Humalog and Lantus in the
AM.
Sunday and today I have noticed some seemingly quick drops in BG.  He was at
235 at 1015pm and was at 166 at 1030pm.  The last meal was 5 hours earlier.

Can anyone tell me in simple terms what difference, if any, there is between
porridge, porridge oats  and oatmeal porridge?   I've also heard of
something called steel-cut oats, which apparently are to be avoided, but how
would I recognise them in a supermarket aisle.

Had a session with a private quack in the week, which work are partially
subsidising. Bloody expensive, but she's the first person I've found who
asked the same kind of questions we ask here - what were my postprandial
numbers like, and was I getting enough fibre, were the first ...
Need an ARB recommendation06 Dec 2005 07:46 GMT14
Hi, everybody,
I need a recommendation for a (preferably generic) ARB.  I've been using
an ACE inhibitor, enalapril/vasotec, and I'm tired of the coughing.  What
are others using, and do you have side effects?

(last one 5.5%).I use Glyburide and Avandia (due to congenital kidney
failure I had to stop Metformin).
