Wine and T122 Nov 2005 23:52 GMT17
Over time I have read different threads on wine and diabetes. I am afraid I
hate the stuff and when I checked it on the web it was generally made out it
was of benefit to T2s with their insulin resistance but it also sometimes
mentioned it could help lower cholesterol so I forgot ...

Howdy22 Nov 2005 20:36 GMT5
Well, I have been doing quite well in the last few days.  I feel more normal
and myself than I did those two days last week.
I find with keeping track of my b/s levels, I feel so much better and it
makes me stay on the thin and narrow.  It also wakes me up to what I did
New recipe to try 22 Nov 2005 19:50 GMT5
We spent the weekend visiting our granddaughter. Her mom's family is from
Southern India. The other grandmother (Malathi) is a great Hindu
(vegetarian) cook and I've learned quite a lot from her. I realized this
weekend that a lot of Indian dishes fit the criteria I've been hearing ...
Make money now22 Nov 2005 18:40 GMT1
While back, I was browsing these newsgroups, just like you are now,
and came across an article similar to this that said you could make
thousands of CASH within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00 plus stamps! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam!"
Wonder Why22 Nov 2005 18:36 GMT1
Went to the GP's clinic this morning to get the ol cholesterol and
kidneys rechecked since somewhat high readings a month ago.  The bill
was $47.  As usual, I tried to sweet talk the gal into cutting the
bill by about 50%.  As usual, she replies no can do.  I then asked her
First day of testing22 Nov 2005 17:42 GMT168
Careful readers will recall that in our last episode, our
hero (me) had just had his first negative FBG test - 114,
and was planning to get a meter and do some further testing
to see how bad things really were.
Increased Aggression with Statins22 Nov 2005 16:10 GMT13
Bit of a weather warning this one.  Storm forecast perhaps.
Went to the vampire this morning after a long absence and went through
the story of how I have been off the wagon for a bit and although I do
not expect to have a problem with A1c (somewhere in the 6s I predict,

Dentist22 Nov 2005 13:16 GMT34
Last Tuesday I went on the annual pilgrimage to my favorite place -
the Dentist.  The dental hygienist bitched at me.  She found an excess
amount of calculus on my teeth.  I googled for 'calculus and teeth'
and found http://www.dent.ucla.edu/pic/members/plaque/.  Nasty stuff.
Sarah Lee Delightful White bread22 Nov 2005 06:51 GMT37
I bought a loaf of this stuff the other day.  It has 9 g of carb per slice
and added fiber.  And no soy.  That was a big selling point for me since I
am avoiding soy.
Did this bread raise my BG?  No, it did not!  But I think the only reason it
AIDA22 Nov 2005 06:28 GMT1
I have used the AIDA  program and other
included material  as a learing tool.
Took a short look tonight and it seems
a bit dated and now has some Ads.
wheres theres a will...22 Nov 2005 05:51 GMT9
theres a way...
well after my appt friday, I thought over the weekend and I decided I wasn't
going to wait any longer for the other doctors to reply to my current docs
about getting me an appt.  So, I took matters into my own hands.
Julie Bove, Ozgirl, Beav, Frank, Mack: Idiots Extraordinaires!22 Nov 2005 01:32 GMT66
I tried to tell you people what I do to fight this
terrible disease, and you tell me that I am dead,
or a liar, or to f.ck off?
Shame on you all.
