Exercising question18 Nov 2005 15:33 GMT5
I have Type 2 and high blood pressure. I need to loose weight and
really, I guess, exercise to get into shape!
Gym is not a good option for me as with the distance I am more likely
not to go. I am hoping to invest in a Cross Trainer for home use.
cinnamon18 Nov 2005 14:06 GMT10
I don't know where I read it, but I know I read somewhere that cinnamon was
good for diabetics.
Can anyone comment on this?  And how do you take it if it is good?

For over a year I've suffered with pain in my one foot that has had
this big ol' bad biker on the verge of tears! Pain that I can only
describe as like a red hot icepick being stuck into various places in
Bummer18 Nov 2005 07:47 GMT15
My doctor is moving on to be the inpatient director at the hospital.  Now I
gotta break in a new one.  It's a large practice and I see him tomorrow so
I'm going to have him recommend someone.  I hate breaking in new docs.

Diabetes Day17 Nov 2005 21:27 GMT5
LastSunday was Diabetes Day in Chile. I was given a pamphlet at the
supermarket (printed by the supermarket) that gave lots of flimsy advice
for "diabetics". On the pamphlet, they also show about 15 for their
products which were "highly-recommended" for "diabetics". None of them
Exercise and BG17 Nov 2005 21:27 GMT11
I've just come back from an hour at the gym - feeling very pleased with
myself  - only to discover that my BG has risen from 4.8 to 6.6 mmol/l.  Why
does it go up after exercise, please?  And what am I doing wrong?

Today I received a big fat envelope17 Nov 2005 20:32 GMT3
Today's mail brought me a fat envelope from my (former)
endocrinologist's office.  Apparently the letter I sent last week with
a cc: to my insurance company and the state medical board got the
woman's attention.  She even had the sense not to attempt to bill me

Continious readinfg glucometewr.17 Nov 2005 15:38 GMT9
A local TV station had a blurb on a new glucometer.
I think it was called " Guardian".  I know such a device
would have benefited me over the years  a lot of promises and NOTHING
useful.

Someone put together a flash presentation with music from Ricky Skaggs
with an overlay of a little girl talking to her Dad who is a soldier.
Make sure your speakers are turned on.
