Flu Shots......02 Oct 2005 23:22 GMT5
I know there's already a flu shot thread, but I can't find it. Anyway,
I asked the Medical Dept. where I work if they will be giving free flu
shots this year. The nurse said it was scheduled for first week of
October but that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) told them to ...
Novorapid02 Oct 2005 21:41 GMT3
Has anybody else here suspected they have an adverse reaction to
injected insulin?
I think I do, but I don't know how rational I'm being.
I'm 5 months pregnant, was doing well on the blood sugar front until
Long walks vs frequent short walks02 Oct 2005 17:56 GMT10
I've been trying to walk 5 miles a day and doing very well at it.  My
job is rather sedentary so getting out to walk is important, especially
since I am a newly diagnosed diabetic T2.  I usually walk the 5 miles
late at night.  I live in a safe and well-lit neighborhood.  It ...
Gone Wild02 Oct 2005 10:22 GMT16
You've heard of the video of girls gone wild, this morning I saw that
my weight has gone wild.  I gained 8# in the last 7 days.  That is not
normal.  Food consumed cannot add that kind of weight.  I've had a
horrible week of seeing the BG's spiking all over the place.  The only
"This surgery will cure your diabetes!"  Rant, not spam02 Oct 2005 01:58 GMT179
The subject line is a direct quote from a doctor I saw yesterday.
I'm furious.  I went to a chest specialist yesterday because I've had asthma
and breathing problems for several years.  This was a first-time visit to
this doctor; I'd never seen her before.  She walked into the ...
Lemonades and elderflower01 Oct 2005 22:15 GMT23
G'day G'day Folks,
One hurdle for T2 diabetics is finding a refreshing cool drink for
Summer.  In New Zealand the lemonade season has just begun.  Lemonades
are a sweet lemon, lacking the intense sour taste characteristics of
Beating the "Dawn Phenomenom" 01 Oct 2005 17:02 GMT2
A recent discussion here about whey powder got me looking for this product
once again. Most commonly available from retailers to the body building
crowd, my difficulties in the past were due to the practise of including
some kind of carby additive in the products I did come across.
Chronic Diarrhea01 Oct 2005 14:47 GMT12
I've had diarrhea since June. I ignored it at first because there
wasn't any other symptoms. It got worse, and now every day feels
horrible. I went to the doctor, he said I might have type II diabetes.
I did fasting, more blood work, a urine sample, and a stool sample. All
Costco Flu Shots Starting01 Oct 2005 12:29 GMT3
My local Costco is offering flu shots for high risk people starting
tomorrow. They've got a four day schedule spread out over four weeks. I
don't know if all Costcos do this so phone ahead. They'll be charging me
$18.00. Diabetics are high risk. I think over 50's are too.
